ALEXANDRA BAYEVA

Alexandra Bayeva is a professional dancer and choreographer with a background in ballet, folk, modern, contact improv, social dancing and acro yoga. Her professional experience includes working with a number of dance-theater companies in New York City and her home country Belarus, as well as being a dance and gymnastics instructor. For the last four years, Alexandra has been thoroughly exploring various relational and self-developmental practices: she studied NVC, core energetics, authentic relating and other modalities.

Discovering her unique gifts and talents was part of her personal growth journey and Alexandra feels thrilled and excited to share her creativity, passion and unique movement experience with others.

SET FREE Dance Theater was created by Alexandra Bayeva in January 2018. The inspiration for the company name originated from the song "Bird Set Free" by Sia. 
SET FREE Dance Theater incorporates expressive music, vivid imagery, and specially designed props into the movement to tell a story.                             

Since then Alexandra has produced eight shows ( live and  on  Zoom)  where she presented  work by "SET FREE Dance Theater" as well as work of other aspiring artists. 

Alexandra is currently  teaching  dance improvisation classes and choreography  for anyone who desires to  express themselves creatively through dance and movement. She also leads Hiking and Dancing events in NYC area.
