                       Contact Improvisation

Contact Improvisation is  improvised partnered dancing where connection is achieved through constantly shifting one’s “point of contact”. There are more important principles in CI that take time to learn and that come with practice.

This class will help beginner dancers better understand some key concepts of CI ---  What is point of contact?  How does leading and following work? How do you share weight?

The movement ideas we will be exploring are fun and exciting -- so participants with any movement experience will enjoy the class.

                               Let Your Body Talk

Let Your Body Talk,--is a dance/movement experience that helps adults to connect and express themselves creatively.

Our bodies have unique abilities to store memories, desires, and wisdom that are waiting to be discovered and celebrated. Let Your Body Talk dance workshop invites participants to explore the magic of spontaneous movement expression and share the joy of dance and movent with others!

Drawing inspiration from expressive music and vivid imagery we will practice to trust body instincts and let movements flow naturally.  We will learn to let go of judgments and express ourselves freely as if we were children again. Getting in touch with our inner self and noticing what arises at the moment, might give invaluable information for our personal growth. Much can be revealed if we speak body language to each other: who we really are, what we desire, what brings us joy, and what stories we create about ourselves and others.

Let Your Body Talk provides a meaningful experience that not only brings us the joy of moving freely but also helps us to make personal discoveries fostering a deeper sense of connection to ourselves and others.

Participants with any level of dance experience are welcome!
